Jaipur Tiger Festival (JTF) is a platform dedicated to celebrating India's wildlife and creating greater awareness about the need to protect it.
Since 2019, JTF has brought together photographers, artists, students, conservationists, forest personnel, wildlife enthusiasts and the public through photography, art, exhibitions, talks, education and conservation initiatives.
FROM THE LENS TO THE LARGER PICTURE
The story of Jaipur Tiger Festival began with the tiger.
The idea was simple — use the power of photography and storytelling to bring people closer to India's magnificent wildlife and help them see the world that exists beyond our cities. Since 2019, JTF has brought wildlife photography and conservation into the public space through exhibitions, competitions, awareness programmes and educational activities.
Over the years, the conversation has grown.
Today, JTF is about more than photographs of tigers.
It is about forests, biodiversity, communities, responsible tourism, the people who protect our wildlife and the generations who will inherit it..
Our journey continues with one purpose: to build a stronger connection between people and the wild.

2019
WHERE IT BEGAN
The first Jaipur Tiger Festival marked the beginning of a journey centred around the tiger, wildlife photography and conservation awareness.
Through photography and public exhibitions, JTF created a space where people could experience the beauty of wildlife and begin a deeper conversation about its protection.

KEEPING THE STORY ALIVE
JTF continued its focus on wildlife photography and awareness, creating opportunities for people to engage with wildlife through images and creative expression.
The festival's journey continued, bringing the story of India's wildlife to audiences in new ways.

The festival continued to use photography, exhibitions and public engagement to bring wildlife conservation closer to a wider audience.
The conversation began to look beyond the tiger — towards forests, biodiversity, communities, responsible tourism and the people who work every day to protect wildlife.

CONNECTING PEOPLE WITH NATURE
JTF continued to grow as a platform for wildlife photography, art, education and conservation awareness.
Through its programmes and exhibitions, the festival continued to create opportunities for people to experience wildlife, learn about conservation and become more connected with the natural world.

ANOTHER CHAPTER
The 2025 edition carried forward the festival's focus on wildlife, photography, art, education and conservation.
It added another chapter to a journey that began in 2019 — bringing together people who believe that awareness can lead to understanding, and understanding can lead to action.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
The tiger is more than a tiger.
The tiger is one of India's most powerful symbols of the wild. But protecting the tiger means protecting much more.
It means protecting forests, prey species, water sources and the wider ecosystems on which countless species — and people — depend.
It also means understanding the relationship between wildlife and the communities that share these landscapes.
That is why our work looks beyond the tiger itself.
OUR WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY JOURNEY
When a photograph becomes a conservation story.
Wildlife photography has been at the heart of JTF since its beginning.
The festival has showcased wildlife photography through exhibitions and competitions, bringing photographers and audiences together around the beauty and stories of India's wild spaces.
A photograph can freeze a moment. But the right photograph can also make someone stop, look closer and care.
That is the power we want to use.
SUPPORTING THE PEOPLE BEHIND CONSERVATION
The people who protect the wild.
Wildlife conservation depends on people working every day in and around our forests.
JTF recognises the contribution of forest personnel and has undertaken initiatives including health and medical check-up camps for forest department staff and their families, along with support in situations where people involved in conservation-related work have needed assistance.
Because protecting wildlife also means recognising and supporting the people who dedicate their lives to it.
OUR VISION
Jaipur Tiger Festival seeks to transform admiration for the tiger into meaningful awareness and ultimately, conservation action.
That underlying philosophy is simple:
If people understand wildlife, they will value it.
If they value it, they will protect it.
The tiger is therefore presented not merely as India's National Animal, but as a symbol of healthy forests, biodiversity and ecological balance.
